HENRI KUIKENS

Jesse Breytenbach is the skilled artist behind Henri Kuikens. Each cushion cover is carefully block printed with hand-carved linoleum blocks and water-based ink on hemp and organic cotton blends.

Block printing makes the surface of a rough fabric come alive, emphasizing the weave. It records the pressure of a hand, the heaviness with which the block was inked.
